| Continuous Expansion of Rapid Transport Division |
Rapid’s transport division began 3 years ago and was mainly used for the movement of our own products. We found that one of the main benefits of transporting our own products is knowing exactly where it is and what time it will arrive on site as downtime can be very costly. It is about being able to guarantee delivery to customers on time, without depending on third parties.
We were delighted to add a new vehicle to the fleet earlier this year. This was due, not only to the increase of our own products, but also to the increasing number of outside haulage contracts which we were receiving on a regular basis. Read more...

Constant Design
and Innovation at Rapid |
| Rapid are currently working
on what will be the first ever 4 cubic metre output Concrete
Mixer. We are hoping to launch the technologically advanced
R4000 here within the next six months, with an eager eye
on the American market for 2005. The main advantage of
the R4000 is that an eight metre mixer truck can be loaded
in two four metre lots in just four minutes, rather than
the six minutes at present. That two minute saving may
not seem like a lot, but over the course of a day, the
time reduction is quite substantial; not only that, the
quality of the concrete will be much better than from
a conventional truck mixer. |
