Mechanical Assembly Fitter
Role
Due to a continuation in growth and new product launches RAPID International are seeking to appoint a Fitter within their Assembly Operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Reading & Understanding Assembly Drawings
- Assemble Mechanical Parts & Components
- Use Power Tools Safely & Effectively
- Ensure a high level of quality
- Identify and report defects to Assembly Team Lead
- Maintain an organised working environment
The Person
- Proven experience in assembling heavy machinery
- Competent in use of Power Tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to undertake Manual Handling tasks
- Overhead Crane and Fork truck experience desirable
- Good communication skills
Hours of Work: Flexible 39 hours per week to be agreed within times below:
Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 17:30
Friday 07:30 to 15:30
Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour + Weekly Attendance Bonus
Fabricator Welder
Role

Main Responsibilities
- Fabrication of Steel structures to Engineering Drawings
- MIG Welding to high standards
The Person
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
- Experience in Heavy Engineering Fabrication
- Attention to detail with the goal of achieving a high-quality product
- Ability to undertake Manual Handling tasks
- Overhead Crane experience desirable
- Experience with Power Tools
Hours of Work: Flexible 39 hours per week to be agreed within times below:
Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 17:30

Mechanical Engineer
Based in Tandragee, Rapid International designs and manufactures high quality, reliable equipment for the concrete, construction and environmental industries. With a presence in more than thirty countries worldwide via an ever expanding international dealer network, Rapid is a trusted partner to a wide variety of customers from multinational construction groups to small concrete producers.
Personal Description
Rapid International are recruiting an experienced, mechanical design engineer to work in our highly innovative design team. The successful candidate must be driven, with an eye for detail orientated drawings and must be able to integrate well in a team as well as being able to work alone.
Job Description
- Designing detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models for highly innovative mixing plants
- Building BOM and components lists for equipment
- Involved in R&D of new products and improving current products
- Carry out FEA analysis on structural steel buildings for mixing plants
- Ensuring all manuals and technical data sheets are kept up to date in line with drawings
Essential Criteria
- Hold secondary education (BEng or Similar) in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering discipline.
- Have a minimum of 4 years experience within a similar role
- Be proficient in 3D CAD systems (preferably Creo)
Desired Criteria
- Prior experience within a heavy engineering business
- Good understanding of the concrete/quarrying industry
