Rapid International is delighted to announce the launch of the Rapid Transbatch compact mobile concrete batching plant. This new mobile batch plant contains the popular 3m3 Rapid Twin Shaft concrete mixer and is capable of achieving actual working outputs of up to 100m3 per hour. The Rapid Transbatch has the benefit of being manufactured in Northern Ireland, highly regarded as one of the world’s leading locations for quality engineering to the materials handling and processing industry.
The in-house design team have been working on this machine for some time now and everyone is delighted with the final results. Mark Lappin, Managing Director states, “This machine offers customers another option from our mobile batch plant range. As with all of Rapid’s machinery, most of the components used are British made which guarantees the machine’s longevity. The extra thick chill cast tiles in the mixing chamber ensure that it is one of the highest quality mixers on the market today.”
The plant is fully mobile with the stairs and access walkways around mixer, folding and dismantling for transport purposes. It is therefore suitable for short-term projects or projects requiring on-site mixing. It boasts four 10m3 aggregate bins with pneumatic discharge doors and a 1000mm weighing belt which transports the material to the concrete mixer.
The 1750kg cement weigh hopper comes with aeration, pneumatic vibrator and a pneumatic outlet butterfly valve. The twin additive meters contain 2 pumps with the option of adding more additive meters if required.
The Rapid Twin Shaft Mixer
The Rapid Twin Shaft mixer is at the heart of this new mobile batching plant. The Transbatch 100 houses the RT3000 Twin Shaft (3m3 output) and the Transbatch 60 comes with a RT1500 Twin Shaft (1.5m3 output). Both mixers feature extra thick chill cast tiles and mixing tools. By incorporating the Rapid Twin Shaft mixer, the plant can boast a high batch output, allowing the plant owner the advantage of offering quick turnaround to customers. The mixer also has hinged access covers and a hydraulic discharge door for easy maintenance and discharge.
Suitable for Specialist Applications
The large capacity 3m3 Twin Shaft mixer is suitable for a wide range of projects where high strength, high quality (eg. specialist construction projects) or lean mix concrete (eg. roller compacted concrete) is required.
Built-In Control Room and Other Features
The plant features an automatic control system with load cells, starter panel and a pneumatics panel. There is also a built-in control room, positioned at the truck loading area. A water connection pipe at the rear of the machine allows supply to be connected and there is a compressor with a receiver and drier. This plant offers a winterisation package for those countries who experience harsh winters.
